The One About All We Hear Is Radio Ga Ga…

The old Queen song came to mind as I started my interview the other night on Artist First radio.

This was, indeed, my first interview since becoming a published author, and at first my nerves showed. I “um”ed and “er”ed my way through the first ten minutes. But I eventually hit my stride, and we covered a number of topics. My history in the Navy, including my time as a sailor in the Nuclear Navy… the bathroom habits of the Japanese people (I never did describe the Benjo Bounce)… how you have to sometimes stand around and talk through dialogue, much to the dismay of patrons at Starbucks… how the book came into being over a single month, but then was polished and refined, future plans for the series, and how you  you should never, NEVER let anyone tell you that you can’t, artistically.

It was a fun time. It ended all too soon, and I hope to be back again sometime. In the meantime, here’s where you can hear the whole hour-long interview.

Triangle: False Mirror will be the Book of the Month for the Artist First Radio Network for February as well.
