Born in New York and raised in California, D. G. Speirs is a born traveler.
Graduating top of his class from the Naval Nuclear Power School, D.G. served in the Navy for more than a decade. He’s lived all sorts of adventures along the way. D.G. coached a football team in Australia and modeled for Issey Miyake in Japan. He even played Santa for a stadium full of NFL fans.
D.G has been a national consultant assisting entrepreneurs, a Chamber of Commerce board member, and Rotarian of the Year. Now he’s a retiree, a family man, and a performer of some sort for over four decades. Pretty average for a guy with an IQ of 154.
In addition to his novels, D. G. has authored for five years The Tao of Maud, a daily inspirational blog across social media. This project drew wisdom from the intersection of lessons in Eastern philosophy with those taught on a show about candy-colored ponies.
He’s a connoisseur of fedoras, bow ties, and black cherry soda. D.G. believes there’s always a better story out there, even if you have to make it up yourself.
He currently resides in Florida with his wife, Pam, and their two cats George and Harry. Not a bad life for a beach bum writer.
